Overunity Motor

An overunity motor, is essence, is a perpetual motion machine. Many engineers and inventors have claimed that they have created such a device. Many of these are essentially an overunity magnetic motor, focusing on using the repelling power of magnets to create energy.

In theory an overunity engine is impossible because it violates the law of conservation of energy. This law states that energy cannot be created from nothing.

(I it believed that some people use the term "overunity" because using the term "perpetual motion machine" automatically labels you as crazy.)

The Main Limiting Factor

Friction is the main limiting factor for creating a zero point energy sources. Some people have attempted to overcome friction by using generators made of magnets. This essentially eliminates friction from the device, but it still is impossible to create energy out of nothing.

Why It Is Possible

Despite several laws of physics totally rolling out a perpetual motion generator, many people still believe that it is possible. One of the exciting things that they point out is that laws of physics still are not perfect and there's still much to be learned about our physical world.

Just remember that in the past even highly educated people thought it would be impossible to put a man on the moon or send an object from earth all the way to Mars. But those both of those things have been accomplished.

Bedini Motor

John Bedini is one person who has filed several US patents for perpetual motion machines.  I believe he has four such patents:

1.  Device and method of a back EMF permanent electromagnetic motor generator.
2.  Device and method for pulse charging a battery and for driving other devices with a pulse.
3.  Device and method for utilizing a monopole motor to create back EMF to charge batteries.
4.  Device and method of a back EMF permanent electromagnetic motor generator.

Magniwork Generator

Magniwork is a very popular product sold on the Internet today where essentially you are using the power of magnets to create energy. While not a perpetual motion machine, it apparently comes pretty close.

Essentially in the center of the generator you have a plate with positive magnets around the edges. Then around the outside of the plate you also have positive pole magnets. Because the positive poles repel each other the center plates rotates.

The way this generator makes power is by harnessing the spinning rotation of the center plate.

Summary

The overunity motor in theory is totally impossible, but many people contain continue to claim that they have invented one. While critics may scoff at them, you have to remember that we still do not understand all the laws of physics.

And because of this it is impossible to totally rule out a zero point energy motor ever being created.
